A Vermont Company
New England Container Company was founded by life long Vermonter Roland "Rolie" Devost. Born and raised in the Northeast Kingdom by a family of loggers, Rolie started the company in 1980 and soon revolutionized the way people packaged and distributed maple syrup. The company was based in Swanton, Vermont for 30 years and has recently opened their new facilty in St. Albans, Vermont. In 2011, Rolie's son-in-law Craig Bertrand joined the company. Craig is also a born and raised Vermonter. Excited about what Rolie has done for the industry as well as the community and state of Vermont, he looks forward to continuing the tradition that Rolie began with his custom etching on glass maple syrup containers and custom wood engraving for sugar shack signs.
